Lights On Program: A Spark of Innovation at Sona School of Business and Management

At Sona School of Business and Management, we are thrilled to have successfully conducted the Lights On Program for our 1st-year MBA students, marking an exciting beginning to their business education journey. The program was carefully designed to ignite creativity, cultivate problem-solving skills, and sharpen strategic thinking – all critical elements for developing the business leaders of tomorrow.

The event began with a series of engaging business games, which encouraged students to think innovatively, collaborate effectively, and apply their theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world challenges. These activities were specifically crafted to enhance key skills such as critical thinking, decision-making, and teamwork – all vital in today’s fast-paced business environment.

A standout feature of the Lights On Program was an exclusive session with Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, Vice Chairman of our institution. In his address, Mr. Valliappa offered invaluable insights on leadership, innovation, and navigating the ever-evolving business landscape. The evening, set against the peaceful backdrop of our campus lawn, provided students with a moment of reflection and inspiration. Mr. Valliappa shared personal anecdotes that highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and resilience – qualities essential not only in the corporate world but also in personal development.

His guidance inspired students to reconsider their educational paths and career aspirations, urging them to take bold steps toward both personal and professional growth. The interaction sparked thoughtful reflections on how life skills play an essential role in overcoming corporate challenges and managing day-to-day situations.

The Lights On Program served as a dynamic platform for our MBA students to deepen their practical knowledge, engage with industry experts, and immerse themselves in the rapidly changing business landscape. The opportunity to connect real-world insights with classroom teachings, along with the chance to engage with a prominent leader like Mr. Valliappa, made this event particularly impactful.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a resounding success. The Lights On Program not only enriched the academic experience for our students but also strengthened the bridge between academia and industry, setting the stage for more such impactful initiatives in the future.

At Sona School of Business and Management, we are committed to providing our students with enriching opportunities that inspire, challenge, and prepare them to become the innovative business leaders of tomorrow.
